Dental Implants

Dental implants have become a great way to replace missing teeth. A dental implant is a titanium-based cylinder that replaces the missing tooth root. After a period of time, other parts are placed on the implant to enable the dentist to eventually place a crown (cap) on the implant. Implants can also be used to support full or partial dentures, dramatically improving denture retention and stability.

Most patients with adequate bone mass can have implants, although it varies among individuals. Typically an x-ray and CT scan are performed to determine if you have enough bone to place the implant, as well as to verify the size and kind of implant that should be placed. Contact us to determine if you’re a candidate for a dental implant.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Take care of cavities with tooth-colored fillings. Composite fillings are made from durable plastics that are similar in color to natural teeth. Because of this, they look more natural and are less noticeable compared to other types of fillings.

Another benefit of tooth-colored fillings is that they are compatible with sealants, allowing the dentist to perform both procedures in a single sitting and preventing further decay. Another advantage of composite fillings? The ability to bond to the tooth structure. In many cases, they can also be repaired by addition of more composite material.

Crowns & Bridges

A crown (cap) is a dental restoration that is placed on teeth that have lost substantial structure. There are various types of crowns, ranging from full porcelain to full metal, each with unique advantages and disadvantages. The crown process begins by taking impressions of the teeth involved. A temporary crown or bridge is then placed on your tooth while the impressions are sent to the lab to create the permanent crown. The completed work is sent back to the office; after inspection and any necessary adjustments, it is cemented onto your teeth.

Bridges are used to replace missing teeth. Bridges involve two crowns – one on either end – along with a bridge of replacement teeth that rest where there is tooth loss. The crowns at the ends of a bridge can fuse to existing teeth, or your dental professional can attach them to dental implants.

Veneers & Laminates

Veneers are a great way to get the beautiful smile you’re looking for. Veneers and Laminates are a thin shell of porcelain or resin that is bonded to the surface of the teeth. They are also used to replace and restore lost tooth structure where needed.

Veneers can enhance the shape of your teeth, make your teeth as white as you want, and give you the smile you have always desired. Additionally, Veneers are bonded to your tooth structure, which gives them strength. They are considered one of the most conservative dental treatments available, and most of the time, very little or no tooth structure is removed before placing veneers.

Teeth Whitening

Discolored teeth are inevitable to some extent, given our consumption of foods and drinks like coffee and red wine. However, advanced tooth whitening technology has enabled dentists to whiten teeth without adversely affecting the tooth structure.

The two main methods of professional whitening are tray whitening and in-office whitening. With tray whitening, a custom tray is made for the patient, and a supply of whitening gel is provided. On the other hand, in-office whitening is an efficient means of whitening that gives you results in one session. Our team would be happy to give you more detailed information to help you decide which method is more suitable for you and your teeth.

Extractions

While dentists often prefer to save natural teeth whenever possible, sometimes other restorative methods are not enough. A tooth extraction may be necessary for many reasons, including damage or decay. Before the extraction, the area is typically numbed with local anesthesia to minimize discomfort. Depending on the complexity of the extraction, general anesthesia may be required.

Patients may experience some discomfort and swelling after the procedure, but this can usually be managed with over-the-counter pain medications and ice packs. Contact us to find out if an extraction is right for you.

Dentures

Dentures, also known as false teeth, are prosthetic devices made to replace missing teeth. They are supported by the surrounding soft and hard tissues in your mouth. Conventional dentures are removable.

Thanks to modern advancements in dentistry, dentures are becoming more and more comfortable and natural, allowing you to easily restore your smile. Connect with our team if you’re interested in learning more about dentures.
